Public IP lookup (IPv4 and IPv6), geolocation with ISP / ASN details, User-Agent and browser traits, WebRTC leak detection, DNS leak detection, Canvas / WebGL fingerprint demo, multi-node latency testing, WHOIS(RDAP) queries for domains and IPs, and NAT type detection. No signup required.
Lookups run on Cloudflare's edge network: your request reaches the nearest data center, the edge reads the connection details directly, and ipapi.is supplies geolocation and carrier data. WHOIS uses the standard RDAP protocol. WebRTC, DNS and fingerprint checks run entirely in your browser and are never uploaded.
IP geolocation accuracy depends on carrier registration data and is city-level at best — never street-level. Behind a proxy, VPN, corporate line or mobile network you will see the exit node's location and carrier instead.
No signup, no popups, and your lookup results are never shared with third parties. Anonymous statistics used to improve the service are described in the privacy policy.
It started as a small tool for my own network debugging: which IP am I actually leaving through, is DNS tampered with, is my proxy leaking the real address. After gathering the everyday checks into one page it made sense to open it up.
